Rules and Regulations

 

Welcome to this session of Cain’s Taekwondo Academy’s Bigger Loser Challenge. I just wanted to take a minute to go over some of the basic information about the program.

     •      Winners will be judged on the following criteria
                    1. Percentage of goal achieved
                    2. Amount of exercise performed
                    3. Completion of weekly challenges
                    4. Bonus points for the team that does the best each week.
     •      Each week there will be a challenge that you will be awarded 10 points for completing
     •      The challenges will be cumulative so if you continue them beyond the week they were assigned, you will receive an
             additional 10 points for each one that you continue.
     •      You must report each week with the number of pounds that you lost for that week, how many minutes you exercised, if
             you completed the weekly challenge, and if you completed the cumulative challenges. Reporting happens on Monday.
             Since we had difficulty getting individuals to report on time with previous contests, there will be a 25 point penalty for
             not reporting on time. You may call in your results, e-mail them in, or report them in person to Sir or Ma’am. Weekly
             results must be submitted by 11:00PM on each Monday.
     •      When submitting exercise, you may submit a maximum of 360 minutes per week which is 60 minutes 6 days a week.
             We have consulted our personal trainer at the school and he feels that this is a good number since you should allow
             you body a day of rest each week. The person with the most exercise will receive 10 points and points will be awarded
             from there. If there is a tie for any place, both players will receive the maximum amount of points.
     •      Those participating in Taekwondo classes will have to ask their lead instructor how much of the class can be reported
             as exercise time. This is because often class will consist of down time and theory so it is not really exercise time.
     •      For this contest we will try to stick to traditional exercises such as treadmill, elliptical, bike, aerobics etc. You should not
             count any tasks that you perform on a normal basis.
     •      In order to motivate our members, each week everyone will get a new partner for that week. Partners will be drawn
             randomly and the group that is the most successful that week will get an additional 25 points.

Now the biggest question, how do I win and what is the prize?

 

The person with the most accumulated points is the winner. The first place winner will receive $100.00 the second place winner will receive $50.00 and the third place winner will receive $30.00. 

Something important to remember is that weather you win the money or not, what is important that you get fit and lose weight. Try to encourage each other to do well!
